Gulf Air

Gulf Air has come a long way since it started in 1950 as a small intra-Gulf commuter service to its present state as a major international airline. It is presently the national carrier for the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (UAE). Gulf Air operates one of the largest networks in the Middle East stretching from Europe to Asia and its fleet of 34 modern aircrafts covers more than 45 cities in 32 countries. Gulf Air was the first airlines in the world to provide a specialized childcare for young passengers under 12, whether traveling with parents or as unaccompanied minors, entitled Sky Nanny. Gulf Air has also introduced a unique variety of personalized dining services for passengers in First Class.

When it comes to entertainment onboard, Gulf Air provides its customers with a personal entertainment network system using state-of-the-art technology. In addition to providing its customers with two-hour strands of BBC World news, Gulf Air provides a total of 21 audio and video channels. Gulf Air is the official sponsor and airways of the Bahrain Grand Prix (Bahrain International Circuit), the first Formula One event in the Middle East.
